Heard he was in the hospital. Anybody hear of any updates on him? Radio in the morning kinda sucks without him. Might have to find a new station for my morning commute.

Wow....I remember him, one of the few I liked.
I have not listened to the radio in at least 6-8 years - and don't miss it. Spotify for music, news and podcasts and you dont have to listen to commercials.

The morning crew said today he was better and should be back soon. Didn’t hear what the reason was.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.
I've listened to the WBAP morning show on my way to work for years. Hal Jay has been a big part of it, but I really think it's time for him to hang it up. His mental sharpness is beginning to slip and I'm pretty sure he's got COPD. Just listen to him gasping for air when they play that Mueller Steel Buildings commercial.

People still listen to AM radio? I still do in the morning. At 5:30 most morning radio shows havnt started. I used to listen to the news channels quite often, but all there is on them are doom and gloom. Finally turned off the news and started back with the radio. Attitude changed for the better.

I haven't listened to WBAP in a long time, but he must have been on that morning show for at least 25-30 years.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I had been in the elevator with several of the disc jocks at one time or another when they were on Lamar Dr in Arlington.
