Hey guys:

I am heading to Tawakoni in 2 weeks to kayak fish. Dropping Stubby's down for channels in the timber but would also like to throw out a slip sinker rig with cutbait in case there is a bigger blue in the area. Putting aside the issue of catching my own bai for the moment, is anyone aware of any bait shops or vendors in the area currently selling fresh dead shad?

I really appreciate the help - thanks in advance.

Trot Line Bait and Tackle on the west side of the 2 mile bridge has fresh sometimes.

Fish N Store Bait & Tackle on the east side of the 2 mile bridge has fresh most of the time.

Good luck. The Stubby’s should serve you well.
