That was a really nice crappie but a 16" crappie should be much heavier than 1.11 lbs unless it was really malnourished and that one looked healthy. You might need to check your scale ... maybe you've been under selling your weights !

That was a really nice crappie but a 16" crappie should be much heavier than 1.11 lbs unless it was really malnourished and that one looked healthy. You might need to check your scale ... maybe you've been under selling your weights ! I will check it out. Might be off a few ounces.

My fish scale registered the same. I have caught several 15-16 inch fish that weighed 1.14 yet to get one over 2. Winter is coming!

Hadn't considered that but that seems like a very logical explanation. I could definitely see a skinny crappy at 16" and 1.875 lbs.

Yes fish scale reads in ounce. 1.11 is 1lb 11 ounces. At 1.16 that would register 2.0 lbs.

Comments turned off on youtube because he got tired of being called a POS Huh? I didn't know they where off. Further investigation it was discovered that it was the way the video was uploaded. Next time I will make sure they are on so you can call me a POS properly.

No, 1 lb 14 oz. = 1.875lbs
