It was tough today. I called my normal minnow station before I got within 15 minutes, they were out, so I had to go by the sportsman in Sanger and get their tiny minnows, but at least they had em - right? Then I get to Johnson Branch and the boat ramp is off limits due to some marathon, I’m like what? I made reservations, so why the hell wouldn’t they have informed me when I booked the reservation, so we turned around and drove all the way back around the lake to Isle Dubois State park. Went to some of my favorite trees and nada, I mean nothing, I said that’s it they’ve moved, went strait to the mouth of Lick Creek and Bam! 15’ down, Those Cedars in the mouth are loaded. Ended up with 33 today . Probably my last trip as I’ve got lots of other commitments [Linked Image]
and it’s my experience they don’t hang in the main lake timber after October 15th, so if you can get up there and hit the mouths of the creeks, over the next few weeks.

Tough day for us too. No problem finding them but getting them to bite was tough. They would chase it but not bite. I guess some days are like that.
