howdy, been throwin' the Strike King brand, they're so-so. Saw where clacker style we working well for some anglers, and got a pack of 4 off eBay, junk. Can only hear it when it's back to the boat. Any suggestions on a medium price one?
Also, what's a good double bladed one.
Thanks.

I know most don't like the brand, but the Googan Hummer is a pretty solid buzzbait for me. Has a good squeak from the factory, good hook and tied skirt. Easy to find at academy.

I use Lunker Lure. Try to find the original in a package- it's different then the company's them bought them out a few years back.

Boogerman was always our favorite on Rayburn. Don't think they are made anymore or who bought them out but tackle HD and Nichols make the same style. You can bend the wire to make the blade hit the head

Jigs4bass.com in the classifieds here. Get the 1/2 ounce shad, scuff up the rivet, and it’ll be as good as anything out there.

Lunker Lure has been my go to for for over 30 years. . I haven’t found anything I like better. It’s been a while since I’ve bought any, so not sure if they’ve changed.

Another vote for Lunker Lure. ...and don't overlook the 1/4 oz. model.

Now that my stock of “old” strike king pro model buzzbaits (which were discontinued) are getting low I’m looking for a replacement. These baits have the hook is closer to the blade which I like, since I fish buzzbaits slowly. The blades “plop” instead of churning the water, trying to mimick a shad flipping at the surface. Tackle HD baits, Nichols Reflex, and D&M Hammerhead have been close.
I will throw the strike king 3 bladed buzzbait when I want an even quieter presentation.
I never had much luck with clacker style, until I found one hanging from a tree on a golf course pond. The thing has been catching fish for awhile, I think it’s a booyah.

thanks. ordered some lunker hunt and booyah clackers. I've fished booyahs before, but not the Lunkers. They get torn up after a dozen or so it seems, but they do work when no other lure will at times.

I'm in the process of building some buzz baits, ordering parts from Barlow's. If I remember right they have the pieces to do this. May need to give this a shot as well.

Got my Booyah clackers and they work great. Can hear them from a mile away, unlike the 'look-alike' ones of eBay (which I'm returning}. Funny, went out to Otay and first cast a 2# engulfed it on the landing, funny how that happens some times, hardly had time to engage the reel. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/09/full-5999-154585-8bd7c068_f236_4c0c_b3fa_828bf88a011c.jpeg)
