First attempt. I ate some when I was about 10 or 11 years old @ my grandmothers, and it was awesome. Haven`t had any since. I have always liked Sauerkraut and had it lots growing up. Time will tell. I`m gonna trust the process. This is 2 heads in a gallon jar. I`m going to go 12-14 days before I try it.

My grandmother used to make homemade sauerkraut, couldn't stand the smell during the process but the end result was delicious.

I make my own. It does stank up the cupboard while it's fermenting but it's good.

Yep, Being a Lowland Saxon German, Grandma, made it when we were out. She would make 3 big crocks of it. We put it out on the back mud porch/enclosed, where it was cool in the fall and winter, let it set for months with netting over it. Love that stuff.

Love homemade kraut. I’m a cayenne pepper freak and I make mine with cayenne flakes in smaller batches. If you like hot stuff I suggest you try it.
I prefer peace. But if trouble must come let it come in my time. So that my children may live in peace

Man that stuff is so easy to make and can. Put it all in jar, water bath, set up and let it do its thing. Pretty good eating in a few weeks. Real good in a month or two. Excellent longer it sits.
That old style crockery method is a beating. Ha.
Luke 6:22-23
22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. Take note—your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.
