What is your opinion on this reel? I see very mixed feelings about it, Thanks. I'm not a big fan of DC stuff. It was marketed to help control backlash, but hinders overall casting distance considerably in my opinion. Price tag goes up, annoying sound and distance lost. If you can throw a reel efficiently that doesn't have DC, I wouldn't spend the money.
If you think you're the smartest man in the room, you're not. If you know you're the smartest man in the room, find a different room.

The one I have will cast a mile with 30# Suffix 832. Also like the SLX DC.

I have the SLX and Curado DC reels both are "okay". (1) I like them with skipping or "high drag" baits like a spinnerbait that can really get knocked around by the wind. (2) I like them if I have "one or two" combos to take on a kayak or bank fishing.
Overall the next gen of DC controls looks much better with an adjustment for lure weight.

If your still interested in a DC model, shoot me a PM and I’ll tell you where to buy a better model and save you about $80 while doing so.
