Saturday morning -- water temperature 81 degrees, caught 25 in 1 hour 20 minutes. Found a big school in 13 FOW, others were in 20 FOW.
Sunday morning -- water temperature 81 degrees, caught 30 in 3 hours. Most fish were caught in 16 - 18 FOW. North wind forced me to change my plan and I fished some spots that haven't been as productive this summer.

All fish caught on this tiny hair jig that is really gotten beaten up:

I knew I needed 29 fish to get to 1000 for the year, so my target was 30. Data from my mobile fishing app:

Ask and you shall receive ... pictures:

Went out for a quick trip this morning before work (9/13). Caught 25 in less than 1.5 hours. Water temp was 80 degrees. I caught most of these fish in 13 FOW on either side of that brush you see in those 2 live scope pictures. The first pic is on the near side of the brush and the 2nd pick is on the far side of it. Most people would focus on that standing brush but I've fished this spot enough to know that the fish like to sit on the bottom on either side of it. I caught almost all of the fish by pitching out and letting my jig drift over the top of the fish. All fish were caught on that tiny 1/32 oz white/chart hair jig.

Sure, I actually took a picture of a new one and the one beaten up by catching close to 100 crappie on it. This is my last one -- I don't even know the brand -- I buy it at a local tackle shop and obviously need to make a trip to get more. I only use 2 jigs all year long -- Thumb Chubby in ghost minnow color for 10 months out of the year and this hair jig in Aug/Sep when fish are feeding on small fry shad.

It does look like a feather, now that you mention it ... but that was just the way the hair laid out before it got wet. It is a hair jig.

I actually just ran to the store to get more since I was down to my last one. I then found it online -- but they are out of stock.
