Need opinions since I don’t know the specific weights so cannot calculate an accurate displacement. I have a bass tournament coming up tomorrow and need to cross an area about 150 yards long that is very shallow with a mud bottom. I crossed it yesterday in my boat and had to get my partner and me both on the front deck and we were barely able to troll to our spot in deeper water. I had to jack up my big motor and push forward a few times. I think I was drafting about 9 or 10 inches. We caught some nice fish and want to go back tomorrow and can’t decide to use my boat or my partners tunnel hull. I have an aluminum flat bottom boat 21’ long 66” wide wide with a 200 SHO and a tournament load for bass fishing. My partners boat is 16 ft long 48” wide with a 90 HP and a minimum tournament load. The smaller boat has much less surface area to displace the weight but the larger boat is much heavier but way more surface area. I don’t know the specific weights so I can only ask which boat do you feel will draft more water? In this case an inch or two will dictate whether we can get to our spot or not. The water has gone down a little since we went.

If getting to that spot is the priority, take the smaller lighter boat and 2 push poles and be prepared to get out of the boat and tow it by hand

Squeezing your cheeks together tight makes it safe while running it on pad.
The trick is coming off pad with out sticking the motor in the mud.
I wish I could get to my shallow spot tomorrow, but its 150 yards of 2 inch water right now

Illegal in many of the bigger events. You can't drag into a spot.

If you made it in your boat before lighten the load some so it drafts less. Anything you don’t need stays home.

Or put both in the lake and measure which drafts less.

Tunnel hull will run in shallower water. If you had a Majek RFL as long as there is dew you would be good…..lol.
