That would be a miserable drive.

Live here and depending on your location and if you can stay south of 377 the drive to Alvarado isn’t bad. 377 traffic sucks and is going to be worse when they expand it. Will be miserable for likely couple of years when that happens. Acton and towards Pecan Plantation the drive would be 35-40 mins and not bad with little traffic. Not really a huge Pecan fan but just bc of HOA situation and rules. Whitney area is good unless you want easy access to good grocery stores and restaurants then it’s kind of just out there.

You might look @ Godley or Joshua area. New homes being built there all the time. Wouldn`t have to drive as far either and 377 comes into play only if you want to go to Granbury. I actually like the Acton area and almost built there 5 years ago with Couto Homes but bought land in Huckabay instead and they built for me there.

Preferably near a lake with good bass and crappie fishing, low recreational traffic from ski boats a jet fleas would be a major plus. Hopefully the meth heads aren’t an issue around there! Oh and golf is a plus as well.

if your going to be within an hour you need to move real close.

Lake Granbury, in spite of what many say, is not a constant level lake and it can go down significantly during drought and high water demand. Not the best lake to live on.

Fun fact: There aren't ANY constant level lakes during periods of drought and high water demand.

Live on the south side of lake benbrook, wife works in Burleson, easy drive up 1187 no traffic until crowley/i-35.. 20 min to downtown 20 min to Granbury. Should add the area to your search list, still country with all the benefits of cities close by. Good schools with Aledo isd if that is a thing for you. Granbury is cool but it's kind of stuck in time with a good ol boy system that is hard to benefit from if you want to open a business or anything of that nature. Also 7 minutes to closest boat ramp, 15-20 min from 3 other lakes as well.

PM me if you have any questions

I am in no way supporting Donothin, I read his statement and thought Duh dude, this is Texas.

However, there are a few constant level lakes in Texas. The two nearest me are Brauning and Calaveras Lakes in San Antonio. They are power plant lakes and kept constant by piping water from SA's largest waste water treatment plant just a few miles away.

Let me add that tri lakes tackle is located in Granbury and it’s probably the best tackle shop in all of dfw. That and they host some big tournaments with big payouts.

I go into vapor lock when I go in there, there are a gazillion choices in soft baits.

Sorry, there are several constant level lakes, usually with a lake above them that releases water to keep them at constant level. Real Stupid and Stevenenama are wrong as usual.
