to say i've had major problems with my new nitro overall would be a HUGE understatement, but for the most part the issue uas been tje ghost trolling motor. today, as with many othrr days, i canmot get the damn thing to operate. it is getting power but neither the head (which flashes twice repeatedly) nor the prop will turn. the foot pedal has power as well and will even operate my poles, but its like there is no communication between the head and the pedal. i assume ots a cable issue, but bass pro cant figure it out. yesterday repeated cycling of the battery power cut-off resolved the issue, but today that's not working. i have also facotry rest it several times. anyone else experiencing this issue?
on a haopy note since the poles worked i went ahead and fished. 6 lm ranging from 2-3# with one 1.5er in there all on baby bass senko and all up tight to reeds. fished for about 2 hrss in 2-3 fow. st
I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"
THAT is a very good question. This is the third attempt to get it fixed. When they installed it they paired the power poles so the foot switch on the troller could operate the poles too. My knowledge of all of that is very little, but seems to me that there may be interfernce causing the issue so I asked them to install the regular foot switches for the poles. We will see what happens.

Just installed a ghost....hope to hear from you in regards to fixing the problem in case others can learn from it.

If we're me I would unhook those power poles then do the reset. Then see if it works right. I would just bet those poles are the problem. Easy enough to use other methods to operate the poles.
You will certainly need to cut the power and then do a factory reset as well to clear the Ghosts leaning software. All this new electronics and trolling motor 's have been made with digital technology and the GPS and sonar work with each other with no interference, something that some of us had to do magic tricks to get rid of it lol.
Another really big problem with interference with all these things has always been the battery on the main motor, but that's usually been with the big motor running.
I have found one thing that helps uncouple the RF that is the source for the interference has been to run separate bigger size power cable for the GPS and sonar and twist the red and black wires really good. Can do this by holding one end of the wire pairs at one end and then tighten the other ends in a drill chuck, then twist them up really well.
Just don't over twist them. Your wires should be cut much longer also as you twist them it will use way more wire. The sonar and GPS of your equipment with the Ghost will not need this as they use digital technology and are made for each other to operate together. The point I am talking about for your poles. Those can and will cause a problem originally hooked to your electronics battery and then when you use and lower them , even if you unhook them, they will snow your sonar over anyway. The separate and twisted power wires will help with this and even better thing here, is leave the poles on your cranking battery on the main motor. Then you can use your trolling motor batteries for the sonar and GPS, but I like the GPS and sonar on their battery all by their self. That battery will be an issue to find a place for usually but if you get the agm sealed Batteries or lithium battery can be installed laying down or whatever and even under the console strapped to the storage box in front of the console. All you will need to do is wire the sonar and GPS power with fuses, a charging source once you get back to shore, even something simple and small would be fine. This makes a huge impact. Hope this might help your issues as I really like the Ghost trolling motor, wish I had one lol. Good luck with all this. Now just keep in mind though your rig with the Ghost you can use the same battery, just make sure it's only one 12 volt source so not to torch your electronics... other guys can do the separate batter by its self if not using digital technology. Just leave all your other stuff on the cranking battery by their self.
Good info, but since the boat is new (bought in Jan, picked up in Apr) and is still under warranty i am letting the dealer handle it. also i am horrible at mechanics so all of what you described is way over my head! lol @ magic tricks!

UPDATE - BPS is has replaced the entire unit except the mount. Next time I go out I will update again, but i was told this is a known issue with the new ghost trollers. the tech also has a ghost in there with side scan interference (i dont use side scan on my troller) and one with 360 scan that is having interference issues. apparently lowrance couldn't be bothered to use shielded cables and they crammed all the wiring through a tight space and he wires are crimping.

I have one of the first ones shipped for retail use, it’s been fantastic, hopefully they didn’t cheapen them after the sales went insane. My 360 works great and the 3-1 nosecone has nice returns and honestly with as much as I read various forums, I don’t hear about the issues you’re having. But maybe this is an up and coming problem.
Glad to read that they replaced yours, should have been done after the first issue.
Glad to see BPS stand behind your purchase...hopefully everything will work out and the new TM functions the way it should.
