I think the best part about having my new boat is having friends come aboard and fish with me. Today I had the distinct pleasure of having KEGracing AKA TX Whiskey Ken on the boat with me. What a great time. I was out early and caught bait, threw 7 or 8 times and had about 30 good size shad. No giants but all 6 to 8 inches. Headed to the same area we fished on Friday except a little shallower. Started fishing at about 23 feet and didn't get bit until about 20 feet. The bite was steady, but not on fire like Friday. We managed a couple good fish. One about 14 and one about 20. Several others from 10 pounds on down. Totaled about 70 pounds on the day. The fishing was a bonus. The good conversation and enjoying good friendship was the win today.
Ken, we will do it again soon. My boat or yours, doesn't matter. Let's make it happen!
Oh and thank you for the Bourbon!

As Tim said, the fishing was good, and the conversation and friendship was perfect!
As always, I got the chance to learn a few more tricks from one of the best. Started the morning in the high 60's, which we will take any day in Sept. in Texas. Nice breeze and some clouds until about noon, then it cleared off and started to warm up, and the wind let up also... time for lunch!
Look forward to doing it again soon Tim.

Steveiam, happy to hear you get a little pleasure out of reading the posts on the forum. I know I do as well. Rowdy, I sold my PG V16 the end of May and I took delivery of a new 2022 Tracker Targa V19 on June 2nd. Big beautiful boat. And I love it!

Tim, I have no doubt you love that big boat. I have been out in my cousin's Tracker boat and his wife was with us also. Even with 3 of us in the boat, we had plenty of room. It was my first time any of the Tracker line and it rode and handled great. Fished awesome as well.
He has since added seriously up grade to their gps/sonar with Garmin big screen with some sort of killer transducer. I am not familiar with the Garmin new stuff at all, but was super impressed with it.
The freaking room we had to fish 3 of us was what I loved about it, and the fact we went back and forth of the main body of the lake in really big swells and the rig never had us gritting our teeth when the bigger 3 footers to maneuver.
