Changing my impeller on Monday. Watched a couple of videos and doesn't seem too hard. You guys have any tips or tricks to doing this? Do you guys lube the impeller with anything etc? Thank you!

I recently changed mine. It was 95% easy with 5% you gotta be joking. The woodruff key would not come out. I worked on that part for an hour.

It really helps to have a very stable surface to work on. I cut a piece of 1†mdf with a slot in it to hold the lower unit. I put a little vasoline on the impeller to help slide it into the housing.

I always use dawn dish soap to lube the impeller for reassembly. Get a couple of 3" bolts (I think they are M6x1.00) and cut the heads off them to make guide pins, makes assembly much easier.

Steez: Not sure why the key wouldn't come out. I've never had one that didn't just fall off the driveshaft when I took the impeller off.
