I have tried several times to no avail. Not one bite.

I read that jigs loaded with a mealworm is the bomb for yellow bass. Found a school…they were catching them on worms,,,but all I was getting was a bit of casting practice.

Even tried a rock bank point that hold bluegills…nothing. Anyone else have luck with them?

I have used them with great success on trout in streams in CO since there are several types of grubs that are common there in the soil. But I have had zero luck with sunfish on them.

If you're fishing in a place where everyone is using worms, then they probably won't take larvae as it is unfamiliar to them.

Do not target sunfish, however I have seen post here saying that meal worms work well.
