Let's say you want to get away for Christmas for 3-4 nights by car where would you go? Family of 5 with middle school aged children.

My number 1 choice was Padre but I don't know that winter time at the beach would be all that fun. New Mexico would be fun but damn if that didn't triple in price the last couple years. At this point I am just day dreaming as I have no idea what my wife's work schedule is like but i have vacation I have to use by the end of the year. Would be a shame if I just had to go to Fork for a week by myself yes

I would think about maybe going towards FL and enjoying Disney, Universal, or beach areas.

I would love to do that, I just don't think I will have that kind of time.

I've actually always wanted to stay at Lajitas resort.

Hey buddy.

Good time to get a 3 on Fork that time of the year. For safety reasons, you should go with a buddy.

I would ask Mudshark. He tends to have the best ideas for just about everything.

Rent a nice cabin around broken bow. If you can stomach the drive Iā€™d rent one in Colorado

I was going to suggest exactly this. Buddies have been to broken bow at christmas and it's cool. Colorado is absolutely gorgeous this time of year and the drive isn't that bad. We went to South Fork to ski between Christmas and New Years at Wolf Creek a few years ago and it was a blast.

Colorado would be great, that would personally be my first choice.

I suppose if you bring the boat I'll let you take me fishing.

I would suggest Florida too, but ya really need another 2 days to enjoy. That 15-16 hour drive to Orlando is tough if ya only got 4 days. San Antonio is always a cool visit and don't forget the Ozarks! Often overlooked, but very nice!!

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

My lifelong best friend has a beautiful house in the Ozarks, that's an option.
