Can someone explain to me where this petty feud between the two companies and their influencers began or why there even is one? From what I have heard as the reasoning to why it sounds insanely childish, but maybe I am missing something.

Both are relatively new to the fishing scene, and are fighting for the spotlight. They both make some decent baits, but not the cheapest though.

Manufactured drama to boost brand name recognition.

Some of their crankbait blanks and packaging do look very similar.

The googans visited 6th Sense HQ for some reason a year or so before their hard baits were made. Milliken made the video to show the similarities between the 2 companies. The Crush Flat 75X has been around for a good 8 years or so, a unique flat side with no other brands “knocking it off” until the googans made their version. I agree with the manufactured drama though.

I am sponsored by me and never thought about seeking sponsors. That said I have won probably very close to 30,000 dollars on 6th sense products and its my fault its not $70,000 because I lost a big one on their crankbait that would have made me win 50,000 instead of 10,000 in one tournament. I mainly use their big crankbaits and swimbaits. I got interested in their baits when Casey was in college and painting baits and selling them on E-Bay. Met him at a bass champs and got him to paint some jerk baits for me that turned out great. the best bait I got from him is a Square bill about 1.75 in size and it has been awesome I still have it and use it continually, It even has a name (superman) because if I catch a couple of big ones and just need to fill out my limit, superman never lets me down... Casey has been making bits at least 15 years. I don't think it would be fair to say he knocks off baits others have invented. I don't use the googan stuff mainly because its not the way I like to fish Idon't have anything against them.

Probably somebody enternally at one of the companies conceived this idea, brand loyalty=$$$$$ for both sides, if you can create the feeling of jealousy or envy amongst the younger crowd, you own them.. Fortunatey for me I'm to friggin old to fall for it.

Just choose what you like best. I like the 6th sense products, all of them. Not a big fan of the googan baits but that is up to each individual to decide what they like best. Simple as that.

Both brands have social media "fan pages", that usually creates drama in itself

The spat between them hypes up both companies. I for one don't care, whichever catches me the most fish is what i'll use.

Very few baits have come out in the last 10 years that weren’t a knock off of something… add one little appendage to a tried and true soft plastic design and then call it your own. Everyone was getting the same 1.5 blanks from China, custom painting them, and saying it’s their newly designed crankbait… same with the mega bass 110 blanks. I find it comical when bait companies have these kinds of spats, for the most part you’re all knocking off somebody!!
