Hey everybody, just like the title says, I need some help for Texoma next week. My Colorado hunting trip had a last minute change of plans so I'm taking my parents to Texoma next week and staying the whole week fishing with them. We will be chasing stripers, bass, and crappie. We have only been on the lake one time, the best I recall we stayed around the lighthouse marina area? That trip was the first time and ONLY time I have ever caught a small mouth bass. This time we will be staying at Eisenhower State Park. I have been reading the fishing reports for various species and searching here and the census seems to be that most reports are very vague and useless at best. I will be posting this on the other specialty forums for selected species of fish we will be chasing. Not looking for honey holes and coordinates but I would really appreciate where to focus our efforts( areas of the lake) and with what tackle for anybody that minds helping me out. We have a 19 foot skeeter to fish out of so as long as the wind helps us out we should be able to get to wherever we need to. Thank you all for anybody that has any suggestions and tips, very much appreciated!!!!

Fish the points from the Eisenhower swim beach all the way to the dam. There are 3 or 4 really good creeks there as well. Deep points, especially where the big boulders transition to smaller chunk rock. At the dam, focus on the Winged points that are peppered throughout the length. Make sure you have the Texoma fishing license!

riprap on railroad bridge, bank and coves north of rr bridge on west side.
redeye shad in natural shad or green gizzard, chompers or jig n craw, c rig 6" worm.
those would be my first choice for the smallmouth.
early am, super spook in black/chrome, white or bone, I use the saltwater spook in bone mostly. check some of the guide reports in the striper section.

Throwing a jig and grub either straight tail or curly along and near Eisenhower Park area is usually good enough to get you bit by something. I liked the bass assassin tails in milky whites, salt and pepper or chartreuse tailed colors usually found at Academy in Sherman/Denison. The Lone Star gas station right off Hwy 75 also usually had a good bunch of tackle as well.

Should be good fishing. TTO pro Team will be there so you'll see a few guys running and gunning starting Thursday but it's only 50 teams. Plenty of room

Today was our first day on the lake. We only caught stripers this morning. This evening my dad caught a small bass in the Platter Flats area.

I was out there a couple weeks ago, I hit the railroad bridge with a wacky rigged green pumpkin senko, just throw it next to the bridge pilings and let it fall. Caught probably 10-12 mostly small, but a couple over 3. Seems like the best side was on the pilings close to the river channel, the key was being close to the structure. We did catch a few in the area you are staying in, same thing with the Senko, next to the rocks on points. Caught a few on topwater in the morning inside the coves and along the dam. Also try a jerkbait next to rocks in Eisenhower area, seems like they were keying on the long pause. Good luck, I have only been on the lake a couple of times, I am really enjoying figuring it out myself.

Think we'll be out there tomorrow. White Skeeter ZX20. Probably start in Miller's cove.
