+1 I usually have a mug to start the day, and a mug in the evening not long before bed, always black no frills...Keurig was a great invention !

Twenty years ago, doctors everywhere were extolling the dangers of caffeine. Most advocated no caffeine at all.

I guess it stopped causing health problems.

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

I too like dark roast, I buy espresso roast and dark roast from cafe britt and blend 50/50, you will wake up after a cup.

Cardiac arrest in a can

Drink of choice back in the day. Chronic sleep dep from working two jobs and large doses caffeine made me just manic enough to have fun with it. Jolt is out of business now. There won't be any more. frown

Apparently dark roast has less caffeine than light roast. Supposedly the extra roasting reduces it so I buy med roast most of the time. I do keurigs but really miss the smell and taste of freshly brewed coffee.

My bass club fished a night tournament on Palestine years ago. We fish 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. I had worked all day Friday and went to the tournament that night. Around 11 p.m. I was sort of tired so I drank my first ever Red Bull. It was one of the fairly small, skinny cans. About 1:30 or 2:00 a.m. I was getting sleepy so I got out my second Red Bull, one I bought in a convenience story on the way to the lake, this one considerably larger.

I drank that thing and shortly afterward I was more wide awake than I ever recall being in my life. I was on high alert, hearing crickets on the other side of the lake. I told everyone I suddenly had night vision. I left the lake, got home, cooked breakfast for my wife, watched TV until after noon...

You are not alone. Back when I was addicted to DrPepper, I drank at least 9 cans a day at a minimum. If I got up during the night, I would get a small glass full from a 2 liter bottle kept in the fridge and go right back to bed and be sound asleep.

Addicted. Coffee relaxes me and I can go right to sleep after having a mug.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I’ll drink coffee anytime of the day or night. I’ve never had a problem going to sleep after drinking a cup.
