I am conscious of caffeine intake anytime after lunch. Even iced tea used to jack with my sleep if I drank it with dinner. The A&W sugar free root beer is also caffeine free.

I might be an exception to the rule. I can have a cup of coffee during the night and have no problem falling asleep.

I can't do coffee that late. My dad used to have a cup watching 10:00 news.i asked him that exact same thing snd he said it didn't keep him up.

I guess different folks have different sensitivities to caffeine. I drink tea almost all day long. I have coffee in the morning and sometimes around 1400. Coffee wakes me up, tea not so much.

Then there is the variable of how fine the grind and how strong the brew. I want my coffee dark so I can't see a spoon in it and we buy or grind light to medium roast fine. I want a legal kick !

I drink 5 to 6 diet dr peppers a day...42.5 mg of caffeine according to Mr Google. I do not struggle trying to fall asleep. Iced tea used to affect me some, but that has to do with something other than caffeine.

Pretty much all root beer - except for Barq’s - is caffeine free.

Like RayBob I have no problem with unsweet tea. But high blood pressure has been an issue for 40 years so I limit the coffee to 2 Keurig cups in the morning.. Colombian roast from Sams. No problem having a nap early afternoon.
