Finally got back out on the river after a week of rain every day. The fishing was very good in the shallows around cypress and lily pads. The combination of tidal movement, cloud cover, and baitfish everywhere had the river bass chasing a buzz bait early and a tx rig worm the rest of the day. Biggest was about 1.5 lbs, but lots of fun to catch on light tackle finesse.

That's a good report. I drove thru the Orange area while working and wished I could "go fishing" many times.

If you ever want to fish the Sabine, just give me a shout and maybe we can schedule a day or two on the water. I'm retired and fish during the week when I can.
