Finally got back on the water today after being out for a few weeks. Fished today from 7am to 2:30 pm & ended up with 24 bass & around 50 sunfish. Water temp was in the low 90s most everywhere I went. Started out fishing the 1st 2 hours for bass...then 3 hours for sunnies & finished the day hookin up with the bass again. The best bass bite almost always seems to come in the afternoon on this lake & today was no exception. Had two bass between 5 & 6 lbs & quite a few 3s & 4s. The two biggest sunfish went just under a pound with one being a red ear & the other being a native or hybrid native. All bass caught on swimbaits in 6-15 feet of water & all sunfish caught on Gulp Alive 1" minnows in water that was 5-7 feet deep. All fish released to fight another day... The last pic is the parking lot when I left...I read ON LINE that the fish were not biting at FCL ... roflmao

Thanks Curtis & Barry. One thing I forgot to mention is that hydrilla has found its way back in many areas which should make fishing real interesting until they kill it. ..

Think what it would have been like if they were biting. Great job!

Glad to see that you are up and at’em again. Great catch Steve. Many of the boys are switching over to hunting mode now, dove hunting is opening up now. And as my Dad used to say “It’ll start raining next week… Dove season opens next week”. grin
