We went to one of our honey holes that we fished last year and found the water 15 ft low and the water looked like a cup of coffee with alot of creamer. Hopefully this rain does it some good.
Last year in September we fished it and caught lots of Rios, we figured we'd try again this year only a month early. We caught 2 Rios 3 channels,lmb, blue gill, spotted gar, Crappie, and a gasper gou. All fish were caught using JIGLYF jigs and released to swim another day.










We caught 16 fish total not too bad for a hot and humid day.

Awesome post. Hopefully these resent rains will help out some. We need a lot more.


Side Note: Bet the Drum fight was a good one.

Man...that sure looks different with the water being down so low. I bet you can find some of your old jigs broke off on that timber. Nice report...
