We had Farm Bureau and their prices went insane, this was about 2 months ago. Changed to Travelers and it was almost half as much, with the same coverage. Must be a location thing. We have been with Farm Bureau for over 20 years and we had no increases.

How could the cost of insurance not go up when the replacement cost of vehicles has dramatically increased and cost of parts have also increased?

Someone in another thread was extolling the value of lawyers…..😆thank them for the increase, those payouts have to come from somewhere. A lot of it is insurance invests reserves in equities and they have not done well.

The sadly ironic part is that you can blame a lot of that increase on having to carry uninsured motorist coverage. You are correct. La mayoría de los ilegales no tienen seguridad. And the numbers of illegals has skyrocketed with Open Borders. 2 million + estimated and rising.

I have not seen an increase with State Farm. You are fortunate. State Farm raised my home insurance 15 years ago by 35% with no claims. I switched and the savings covered my truck. Their rate 15 years ago is what I pay today. I have shopped every year for over the last 15 years around renewal time and have not been able to beat the prices. Maybe because I have been with same agent for 30 years IDK. Same agent for autos, home, motorcycle and boat when I had one.

We had some hail storms down here, but I think the whole state has.

We had a huge increase w/ Geico too. Called a new agent in Kingsland and she quoted me twice the coverage through Germania for almost $600/yr less than what the gecko was fixin to rape us for! I am guessing that judge forcing Geico to pay out $3+ million to that gal that caught an STD while having sex in some dood's car might have something to do with it?

It still holds true that most insurance companies slowly raise customers rates over the years to the point that they get enough from your payments to subsidize and entice "new customers". New customers often pay much less for the same coverage. Even USAA did this to me after a year or so of low premiums.
That is why, when you shop around you get "Real Good" rates to switch. It is a disgusting practice and should be outlawed. You would think being a good, loyal, honest customer that doesn't file a claim for every little thing, would get a break, but THAT is NOT the case. Money, is a hit.

Texas Farm Bureau. Two vehicles, one driver. Got a renewal yesterday. Dropped from $912 for six months to $715. 22% reduction

It is the same with internet, cable, and satellite companies. I call once a year and renegotiate. When i call i ask the CSR why they value new customers more then retaining existing ones. Of course Joe in India has no answer for that one. Safeco has special rates for customers that renew with them. My agent said AllState has good new customer rates but they will jack them up quickly.

It's the value of vehicles that is driving the price of insurance up. When you can sell a 5 year old F250 for 10K more than you paid for it, what do you think it will do to the valuation at collision time? Their costs translate to our costs.
