Glad some of north Texas is getting some rain... still looking for it around Cedar Creek and Red Oak... Had a little bit, but just showers that soaked right in. Nothing more than about 20-30 minutes total so far this weekend.
Here is a picture of my boat hanging in the dock... normally 4- 4 1/2' if water. Dry enough that I drove my riding mower out to the dock Friday evening and did not get stuck. LOL

How is it looking today Mr. Jackie?

Texas lake info is showing over a foot in the last 24 hours of so... from -4.89 to - 3.74

Hate the flooding for people who had damage, but looking forward to water in the lake.

We didn't get squat up here in Mckinney. About .8 inches all in. Lavon didn't hardly flinch...

Dang I saw all the rain in those parts, my sister and husband live in red oak, said they got over 5" there. It's awesome to help the lakes for sure, also no the hardship its caused some.

We out here in the desert part of Texas got .8 which we are glad to take, but it's a long way from any run off.

This past weekend we took 4 day down at pk and actually saw it rain, thought the sky was leaking at first, but it was rain. PK is about 4' low, so not so bad, didn't get enough rain for run off on the water shed for it.

I found a few schools of stripers nothing like you want, I am doing my best to put the wife on, even a 10 pounder, so it blows her precious crappie rig up, I have got her two really nice reels and rods, one for her favorite crappie fishing, and one for the bigger fish. She want touch them yet lol...

But I want this ancient crappie prized Possession rig of hers that she just knows it will bring a big striper in the boat lol, just smoked and blowed up
Heck I have had several there at pk and in another more local lake, spool me several times. My reel has a 24 pound drag and over 200 yards of braid and short mono leader. Her rig either blows up or goes in the lake with the fish, which works for me. Just not telling her about how much I want this, but I have told her it was going to happen lol. It's not like I don't have her new stuff to replace it either.

She has had this rod and reel 20 years at least. Anyway glad you guys got some rain over there, all over Texas needs rain.

slow moving from just went through our neck of the woods last night. Farmers will have a harvest this year....not gonna be much but there will be something. Anywhere from an inch to inch and a half. Slow rain...soaked all the way thru....
