Made some baits the other day, never had any issues with worm oil before. I put the worm oil in the bag with lures (this is a new one with coffee scent and cannot remember the company off the top of my head) and it turned all my baits hard. Stiffened them right up. Hesitant to use it again or use scented worm oil if this is what is going to happens. Anyone else have this issue before. It was just a quick pour for a trip to a lake, made like 30 swimbaits real fast. Let them rest and set over night, bagged and oiled next morning before I head to the lake and by the time I got to the lake, they were way hard and had 0 action. Needless to say, had to settle for another color as close to possible that day.

You probably over did it with the scent on a small pour. Many of these scents are trial and error. You want have that problem with my Pure Extracts. 10 drops for a poure of 20 baits. Let them cool and put 10 drops in a package of 10 baits. You are good to go.

Did your original pour have salt? The worm oil may have reacted with it. And/or is it possible you added some other ingredient by accident? Bottles may be similar or of some other formula. I did read that there are primary and secondary worm oil formulations. Primary is for adding to the pour and secondary is for use after the fact. I don't know if either could cause your hardening issue. Good Luck!
