I wanted to get out with my buddy Justin from someplace outdoors fishing and see if we could catch a few using only reaction baits in shallow water (on Travis that’s 5’ or less). Took a while but ended up finding a pattern of fishing 45 degree sloping shorelines with isolated cover like bait docks and brush, and with Monkey grass along the shoreline. They bit a variety of baits including shallow cranks, rooster tails and swim baits, even small flutter spoons! How has your summer fishing been?
