She fell into the pond. That could get you attacked by a gator in that part of the country for sure.

Used to play a lot of golf over there, it was generally known that if your ball went into a marshy area, you didn’t look for it, not even along the edge of the marsh.

I guess I'm just not that impressed by gators, not even big ones having spent a lot of time around them. Of course an 88 year old feeble woman would probably mimic a distressed animal.
