The absence of youth is a problem in a lot of things. Very few young folks ride motorcycles or dirt bikes. Unless you are born into a hunting or fishing family you are doomed from those sports. Golf has gotten so expensive and the time commitment keeps kids away. As I see it also, the tendency of parents to let kids stay up till 3 or 4 in the morning playing video games or participating on social media keeps kids in their room looking out the window. My fondest memories, as a kid was hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, and working on hot rods. Not many kids do any of that anymore.

Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

Yes.

This is why I'm always happy to help get a younger person started in marksmanship, fishing, coin collecting, etc. It's not enough to enjoy this for ourselves, but it has to be passed on to younger generations.

Had an attorney come visit my office last week with her 9 year old grandson so he could see my coin collection and pick my brains. After seeing what his starting collection was, and listened to what he knows and his interests, I picked out some materials to give to him - new coin albums, flips, an assortment of older coins, and so on. His grandmother asked me what she owed me. Answer was "Nothing. I want him to dig in and enjoy this hobby all his life, and this stuff will help keep his interest piqued". Same applies if I'm at a range with an older gun, like one of the WW1 or WW2 warhorses, and there's a kid who's interested. With the parent's 'okey-dokey', I'll happily let the kid fire a clip through the Garand . . . fun to see their reaction to the PING!!

Once the median age crosses retirement age everything it starts to hit the fan. The olds put their money in treasuries and other low yield but safe investment vehicles. This causes the cost of capital and thus the cost of growth to skyrocket. Not to mention the tax base crumbles as the cost of social security programs skyrockets. Play the math out and you end up with an aged population where the main job for the yutes is taking care of the olds who spend every last dime to prolong their life for just a little more time in the nursing home.

Eventually all these olds will die and populations around the globe will shrink dramatically. We've never seen this in human history. The closest corollary is the black plague in Europe in the 1300's, which as you know lead to the dark ages.

That’s uplifting

I had to look up NFT.. roflmao

NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are jpegs that you can buy online for real world money. Not only are they scams, but they destroy the environment. Every transaction made uses up 48.14 kilowatt hours of power.
NFT Bro: "Hey guys, I just got this ultra-rare [censored] ape NFT for 20 ETH!"

NFT Hater: "Thats cool, but I got this one for free." (Screenshot of NFT worth thousands of dollars)

NFT Bro: "Dude, delete that screenshot!"

Do not buy NFTs.

A lot of folks think it's the biggest problem facing humanity in the next 100 years. Elon Musk and Peter Ziehan have quite a few talks about it on youtube you can watch. It's concerning. The good news is we should be okay here in the US. All the immigration from the south that everyone hates will keep our country young for the foreseeable future.

and Utah-- median age is 31, tend to have lots of children at a young age, mostly hard working people who don't retire until in their 70s.

If the TFF becomes a "feelings free zone" it may encourage more members in the passive generations to join
