Hello, I am trying to connect a separate monitor to my ONIX 10 SI-NT. I have seen where you need to turn on the video port but I can’t find it any where in the manual. can someone please help me with this. I contacted hummingbird support for this and the sent me to page 200 of my manual which was of no help to me what so ever. after many e mails from them they did not answer my question. All they said was I needed to have “their” HDMI cable in order for this to work. I am ok with that “IF” I knew it would work. This is what I am trying to do. (see attachment)

That was disabled with one of the software updates. ANY HDMI cable would work, but Humminbird's was weather resistant. I just used a Walmart HDMI cable.

I posted that picture. The 1198c SI Combo video out still works using the VC-1 cable which is composite video out.

I tried a standard HDMI cable and it would not work. This is on the ONIX 10 SI NT unit which I believe is Gen 1. When I got it I had to install the latest update( 3.something). There is NOTHING in the manual about the HDMI Video Output other than showing where the connector is located. I am not sure if I would need to set this up within the menu system or not. I was hoping that it would be a plug and play hook up. Thanks for the reply and let me know if there is anything I can do.

There are no "generations" of ONIX, just two versions==CT and NT. I had the NT since I didn't want the screen glare that the CT models have.

Already stated that the HDMI output is disabled depending on what software version you have (don't remember what version disabled it). You definitely killed the function with current software.
It either works or it doesn't==there is no setting.
Already stated that a regular HDMI cable works==that is what I used.
The two cables on the left of the 24" TV in the picture are HDMI and VC-1.

No, none of the updates stated that the HDMI port was being disabled. It just happened.
Saw a note that it was not intended to be used by the unit owner after some complained about it.
Also some of the software versions stated that once installed that the unit could not be backdated.

I think I have all the software versions for the ONIX 10 SI NT--about 15 of them.

Thank You very much for your response. Good thing I did not purchase a monitor for this.
