Not trying to rag on anyone but I am interested In your opinions. What makes a bass rod worth $700?

If you’re talking about a bass rod, Titanium torzite guides, carbon fiber grips and reel seat and a quality blank and someone’s time to build it. If it doesn’t have these components, then it’s definitely not worth $700.00

One of those things, if you can afford it, then it doesn’t matter what it cost.

I've used $1000+ fly rods and $200 fly rods. 30$ bass and 300$ bass rods. Yes the 1k rod was amazing. Fast forgiving and casted like a dream but I think alot of folks think super expensive gear will instantly make them a good fisherman. Hell look at lures. Most of them are designed to catch the angler more than fish.

If you're talking about the rod someone has listed on here, he's a wee bit overpriced. Tackletrap has it for almost $200 less.

Light weight and sensitivity are the main things.
