I have 2 Quantum KVD Smoke S3 reels that I took apart for cleaning a couple of months ago. I've misplaced/lost this piece that holds the handle nut in place. I've looked online everywhere, but can't find it. I was wanting to see if anybody on here might be able to point me in the right direction. I've attached two photos. One of them has the little bracket piece I'm looking for, the other one does not. Without the bracket the handle nut comes loose, and the handle will fall off while reeling.

Any ideas?

Southwestern Parts and Service has a good supply of parts and may have a traded in reel you can get parts from as well. Quantum is technically Zebco and now owned by Lews' parent company...

Find a flat washer that fits the screw, grind one side down so that it stops the nut from turning. Might work as a short term fix.

Quantum parts are pretty hard to come by and a real hassle even when calling Quantum to order stuff. I would try southwest parts and if not just call Quantum and tell them what happened. Goodluck

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the replies. I'm looking into all of them now. It's such a random piece/part. I'd be very surprised if anybody has it available.

You can always upgrade the handle for cheap and get new parts if all else fails. I have Lixada handles over 3 years old without an issue.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=baitcasting+reel+handle&crid=2FZVQXYRDU8AF&sprefix=baitcasting+reel+handle%2Caps%2C100&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Not sure why it didn't hyperlink. Copy and paste.

That's actually a really good idea that never even crossed my mind. Thanks!

Third "Dads ol tackle...

Here is a link to a search for the handle nut plate.

https://www.dadsoletackle.com/search/handle+nut+plate/

Here is the one I purchased, and it works on nearly any reel. Flat, and is exactly what I wanted..
