Where is this best fishing on the Gulf right. Would like to make a trip down there and get a guide for some inshore fishing . Like to fish for red fish.

Pick a town, fishing up and down the coast is good right now. I am in Seadrift, TX which is just south of Victoria. It just depends on how you want to fish and if the whole family is going to fish or stay back and do the sight seeing, shopping thing. In our area redfish have been good, and trout are starting to turn around with slightly cooler water from the rain and an elevated tide from this small system coming in out of the Gulf.

Come on down to Texas City and fish the Dike here. No sense in going way down there for Reds, got plenty here.

Fly to Corpus. Lots of good fishing there. ULM, LLM and Baffin.

Or fly to New Orleans and drive down to Venice.

Anyone who fishes coastal should fish both at least once in their lifetime.

Couple friends fish Mansfield/Arroyo city. They are in the middle of the best trout fishing they’ve ever seen. Big trout that act like ocean runners that stopped and never left.

Like Nathan said redfish are really good here but we’re not catching twenty six pound trout a day.
