This is a screenshot of where the fish are in Tawakoni from just a few days ago. Look for bait in 8-10 ft

Notaguide, you drive a long ways to fish Tawakoni. My wife’s family is from Gilmer. Been in that area many times.

The state of Texas doesn't support hybrid or striped bass fishing in East Texas. Don't really have a choice. Palestine, Tawakoni, and Cooper are all equal driving distances for me.

8 to 15' of water north of bridge produced a couple of weeks ago. Good luck keeping them alive in the warm water. Holiday was good too.

Does cooper have a decent hybrid population? It doesn't show any stocking of them on the TPWD website but it says that fishing for them is good.

Cooper used to be my favorite lake. The wipers are gone now. It is the absolutely best lake for sand bass though.

Are the sand bass in Cooper as big as the ones in Tawakoni?

You might pick up a cple Pickerel in the Pines as well. Especially using the Mepps over sand bars.
