I met Pastor David and Joey at 7:30 AM at 2 Mile Ramp. We headed south checking Anchor and Finger Points, and then Crappie Stump but saw no fish. Then moved on south to Wolf Humps and found fish there on the east side of them. We caught a good number of huge whites and 2 legal and 4 short hybrids. After about 3 hours, we left to check the east side finding no fish at the Propeller. Moved north to Tallman and found a few all huge white bass. Finished up at Sun Point where we found a large group of whites down in 12 fow. Pastor caught the best fish of the day there - a 26 1/2 inch striper. We caught them there until 2 PM when the Pastor had to go to take care of some chores. We ended up with 120 whites, 7 hybrids, and the striper. We used #1 and #2 Mepps casting out and working back along the bottom.

I picked up SeaPro Todd about 3:30 PM and we fished until about 8 PM. Todd wanted to go over the same route I had covered earlier, but I convinced him to skip Anchor and Finger. He asked me to check Crappie Stump again, so we did. He had me check it more thoroughly and indeed we found fish. We caught them there for about 35 minutes, then we moved on to Wolf. We caught some at Wolf but it was not as good as during the earlier trip, so we headed to the Propeller and Tallman where we caught a few. We checked Sun again but not much there, so we headed to Cloud. There we found the best spot of our trip catching huge whites until it was time to go in. We ended up with 125 fish - almost all huge white bass. A couple were short hybrids. Total for the day was 128 + 125 = 253. Todd caught most of his fish on a rainbow colored #4 Mepps. I caught all of mine on a #1 silver Mepps. The fish were all shallow - 10 to 15 fow.

Thanks for the surprise invitation, Dennis. That was fun as usual. Tawakoni got massive sandies!

Here is the rat that has chewed up my boat seats, electronic wires, leaks in livewell hose, that ruined my previous 2 trips. I finally got him to stop terrorizing me and other boats at the storage throwing mepps #10. Oops I mean flip flop #10.
