I’m surprised they have let it go this long. #invasive plant, scary words for the wake boarders!

Way better looking grass than Choke, maybe I should be fishing there until they spray it! Chokes grass is pretty sad looking these days!

I think they (rec boaters) have been fighting the ‘drilla for awhile, but now they made their fancy website and all the FB junk. TPWD did a pretty healthy stocking of (I think) F1’s from what I’m understanding, TPWD seems to be on the anglers side for now. I’ve been seeing some nice pics from Canyon, just need to wake boarders to get off the water. We all know Chokes the Dead Sea anyways. lol! Maybe someone needs to make a “save the hydrilla” website.

Just when you think someone can't get any dumber, they want to get rid of the hydrilla. Morons. Guess they have no idea what hydrilla does for the ecosystem of a lake. Especially one where wakeboards pump their exhaust fumes in to the water and constantly disturbed spawning grounds.

Any pleasure boater driving into hydrilla on canyon lake is way too shallow! That is exactly what I told them on Facebook.

If they leave it alone Canyon will be the next big bass Mecca in Central Texas. But sadly they won’t. I’ll wager they will start spraying it within the next year. TPWD has two factions, fishery biologist that know hydrilla is good for fisheries and invasive species people who wouldn’t have a job if not for hydrilla and sylvania. They live to kill it and have figured out they have the power over the fishery guys.

How do we stop it? Is there anything that can be done?
