Had a chance to fish the Guad near Cuero, Texas for catfish and gar, used the neighbor‘s boat as a “pier”, fished with nightcrawlers, pork steak chunks and beef liver. All caught fish. The pattern was suspending the bait 2-3’ below a float near current edges or submerged trees. Did catch a decent spotted gar on a rooster tail! What is your experience fishing for gar or in the river?

Enjoyed the video. As for gar, I have caught a few in the Sabinal River, Cibolo Creek, and the Guadalupe River. They are a blast to catch.
