I posted a video of the update on the lake in the Bass Forum if anyone is interested in any lake updates

Come check out my Youtube channel , Just an old country boy and his family either fishing , hunting , camping or just boating around in a allweld grizzly with a surface drive pushing it to explore the backwaters most people do not venture ...

It's getting there! I can't wait to visit. Where is the best place to see it right now?

Highway 897 is the road that crosses the lake. Only other road you can see anything from is 1396. It dead ends into lake but is has a turn around spot there

Just text a friend that was a head inspector at the lake. Says it Will Not open till it reaches 534 or rite at it. They will consider it to be safe before they open it. They were on it last week with a barge and lift picking up floaters. Also he said they will close all boat ramps and access if it ever drops to 524 or below.

Makes no sense for them to open it up 10 ft low

Go to KXII.com and you can read the story. I am just quoting the article.

He also told me TPWD will be doing surveys this fall and Spring of 2023 to see if they think it will handle the pressure when it opens.

okay that makes sense. I was just going by article. KXII has never been known for their reporting accuracy. LOL
