My granddaughter and her husband wanted me to take them fishing, so I said let's take the tent up one afternoon, and fish after it gets cooler in the evening ( I am 75, and sensative to heat).
On the appointed day, we met at the lake about 3 in the afternoon. I was sitting with my head in my hands, sweating as they put up the tent....Good Lord it was hot! I couldnt drink enough water!
Finally, we put in about 6:30 or 7:00 and it seemed a little more tolerable out on the water.
Bottom line is, we caught a few (just a few) but enough to hook my granddaughter on catfishing...especially after she fried them up . She says she cant wait to go again....I say, "lets wait til it cools off".

I've been fishing all summer in the day and night..for daytime, bimini top makes a big difference

drinking tons of gatorade, gatorade fit, and gatorade zero, and of course water..daytime fishing is trolling crankbaits so the top and moving help a lot..if it's too rough, I get in the water

I used my Bimini too and kept cooled off by looking for better area's to fish through the night and just knew it was going to rain and we was going to be in business. Had one bite, no rain and that super full moon by 11:30 lol
