What is the best wood to use for bunk replacements? Treated? Still using carpet? Any new ideas? Thanks.

There are all kinds of synthetic replacements and synthetic wraps but I prefer treated wood covered with carpet.

From past experience. Do not use treated wood. The acid in the wood will corrode even the galvanized lag bolts. Best option is synthetic or reg. wood treated with Thompson Water Seal, then carpet.
