Where can I go to get a VTR-125 Appraisal form for Tax collector for a homemade boat trailer filled out. I have called three boat dealers in the area but they don't do it. Called my Insurance for adjuster to value and they do not do that as well. Need this form for a homemade trailer with no vin or title. Was told any dealer or insurance adjuster could do it from DMV. I know it is a pain to do but it was a super sweet deal and really could not pass on it. Any know who can help me?

Thanks,

Not sure VTR-125 (Motor Vehicle Appraisal for Tax Collector Hearing / Bonded Title) is what you need since you say you bought a homemade boat trailer:

Maybe you need to complete VTR-141 (Trailer Verification Statement of Fact)

Thank you for the response. I need that as well according to DMV. I just found a place called "Beards Trailer Sales" in FTW that does appraisals for $25. Another $13 to get a certified weight and plus other costs maybe $200 ??? Insurance, app and title fees. I may wet a line in the fall..... frown

Is this a large trailer? If the trailer gross weight is under a certain limit (~3,000# I believe), then it doesn't need to be titled, just registered.
