I bought an original TFO Axiom 8wt on Craig's List to use for gar. Not long after, I broke the tip section. Rather than being bummed out, this created an opportunity to experience the highly touted TFO customer service firsthand. Yesterday, I went to their facility in Grand Prairie. It's a bit hard to find, and there are no signs. A very nice lady, Kimberly, took the rod and went to the back. Now, this model rod has been discontinued for years. She came back, not only with a new tip, but two new other sections. She found problems with mine, so she replaced them. Never asked if I bought it new, or how it was broken. I was there 15 minutes and there was no charge! She did agree I was a bit lucky they had replacement sections. Given how diluted most rod warranties have become (I busted a tip on my older Sage, and the expense to replace including shipping was about equivalent to buying a new rod), those willing to drive to TFO may have a significant advantage by choosing TFO. I did call first with the rod specifics, and was encouraged to just come see them.

Their customer service for repairs has always been second to none for sure.
