I just talked with Brandon a while ago. The doctors have been able to get his mom out of the medically-induced coma and she seems to be alert and responsive. At first the tube for the vent was still in place so she was only able to use Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down replies to questions. They have now removed the tube but with strict orders for her not to talk for at least two hours. That time should be up by now. There is some possibility that she may be able to move to a rehab/ assisted living facility in the DFW area if she continues to improve.
Maybe he'll be able to add some info to this if he has time later.
