that place is loaded with pretty good bass with a spinnerbait you can catch some 5lbers no doubt towards the back.....rough area to stay past dark and heck even during the day they see you throwing fish back you might just get threated or atleast I did and they weren't even worried about the glock I had on my waist lol very wild crowd over there.

Lake Echo? The small private lake/gated community with the large homes around it that John Alexander caught 2 state record largemouth bass from less than a month apart clear back in 1981? That Echo?

Lake Echo is also a small lake close to Athens where TWO state record largemouth bass were caught in the early 80’s. Much better fishing there and much safer! You could get shot at at this Lake Echo by security guards also as it is a gated private community/private lake. During the big bass craze of the early 80’s one man caught TWO state record bass from there breaking the state record set at Lake Monticello in 1980. @ Rescue Fire: if you are not a property owner you have to be a guest of someone living there. I’d rather take my chances in the hood.

I have been blessed to have one of my best friends a property owner at Lake Echo (Brownsboro). I have fished that lake for the last 15 years. It is still a place I go when my confidence is low and I need to catch a bunch or a large fish. Best I have caught out of there was a little over 12. It is still managed very well and a great place to go try out new baits and such.

Fished it with a friend about 5 years ago, one of his baseball buddies lives on the lake. He schooled us on a 3.5 inch RI skinny dipper, but I had big fish for the day at 9 pounds on a dead stick senko.

I fished it with a good friend whose family had a house their, a lot back in the late 80’s to early 90’s. Never caught a double digit but had a lot of really good fish. Loved fishing it at night. Big, black, buzz baits we’re incredible there at night.
