I bet it’s full of 4 pounders by now.

Anyone heard anything about the ramp?

I'm sure it is! That power plant was one of my customers, and every time I made a call, I would go by the discharge. Amazing amount of fish slicing thru there. No poles allowed. Darn the luck! cool

I see on Fish Brain people fishing there all the time. Appears to be quite a few biggins in there as well. I know there's signs there that state no fishing, but apparently people do it anyway. I think an 8 pounder might just be worth the citation though.

My thinking is best to get dropped off and picked back up later if you can possibly make that arrangement.

There is some access over on the Grand Prairie side: [Linked Image]
And some on the Dallas side. Used to could drive the dirt roads all over the shoreline on both sides. Now you’re going to have to carry your yak a little ways. [Linked Image]

No fish there , if you go be sure to thank barryfish for widening the ramp. Watch that first drop.

But is it worth hepatitis or something worse from stepping on a used syringe WHEREEVER you decide to put in...

I heard of a mercury and lead leak at the lake decades ago. There's signs posted up everywhere stating to not eat any fish from the lake. If you happen to catch a 3 eyed fish, a fish with hair, or one with an arm please post it on here!

Ole Mountain Creek! Lake I learned to drive a boat on, really cut my teeth there. I'll always love Mountain Creek. Have some awesome memories from college out there going to DBU.

A black 7” U-tailed worm flipped up into the cat tails near the runways would catch every time. One of our aviation guys can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the guys that worked on and cleaned the jets used acetone on the jets that was drained right into the lake. That’s what I was told years ago.

No matter what was used, MC was a great fishing lake when I was growing up.
