Guys,

Need some wisdom.

I have a 2001 Champion 206. Its in really good shape, runs hard and just added duel poles this year. I'm just going back an forth with selling it. Payments and good, insurance is a tad high but ol well.

So my question to the form is.. have you ever regretted selling an solid older boat.

If I did sell I would not be getting a replacement for a while because me and my wife are in the process of house hunting. ( I know we are on point with our timing of this process lol). I'm ok with parting ways with but on the other hand I really do love this boat.

If you can still afford it while buying a house, keep it. Feds took another 3/4 of percent hike today. House buying isn't getting any easier. Hopefully, you got some green stash put away. That 206 is a great boat, though. GL!

I had a 1997 Sprint 207DC (pre Travis) that was one of the best riding boats I ever owned. Probably should have held onto it and repowered... Also had a 2002 Bullet 20XD that the kids still are mad I let go... Now my 21XRS is my last boat so I won't have the feeling of regrert ever again... Dan

I had a 1995 Skeeter 200zx, the best boat that I have ever owned, it took rough water better than the 195 Chargers that I used to run.

100% Yes, To get the 2015 Skeeter FX20 I am in now I sold a paid for 2009 Skeeter ZX 250. That 09 needed some updates on graphs and a few other things but the boat was solid and probably the only boat I have ever owned that I really regret selling. Regretted it the day I saw it go away.

The only time I regret it is when I look at my home now with the space I have and think...had I just waited a few more years. I could have bought a 20' and not an 18'.

Seriously, I do miss my old girl. She ran like a raped ape for being so old. Wasn't a speed demon, but got on plane quickly and was very fun to drive.

I have a 2013 Skeeter TZX 190. I always ask myself, what's a new boat going to do that my current paid for boat doesn't? All I can really come up with is that a newer bigger boat wouldn't fit in my garage and instead of going 64mph it would go 74mph. So it keep it. Solid bird.

I donโ€™t, I sold both my other boats to my buds and I still get to fish out of them from time to time.

Well, let me back upโ€ฆ one of them I think might have sunk in his shop covered in dust.

Thought about it soo many nights.. My 2005 TZX200 isn't as pretty as she used to be, but I have updated the electronics, bought a new Ultrex a few years ago. Had a new power head put on about 4 years ago, and put new seats in it about the same time. Needs new carpet, and the old POS trailer isn't far from needing to be replaced. Yea I can still get what i paid for it 15 years ago, but for a like to like replacement for what I already have would be closer to 50-60K now

I know i would like a new really shiny boat, but this one is paid for and I dont want to regret taking on another payment.

I have a Legend right now I know I would regret if I sold. I will probably just continue to re-power until it don't float anymore.
