Is this rod a good rod for skipping under docks? It has the action most skippers prefer MH with extra fast tip.

The E6X is not very sensitive for the price. There are better rods in that price range on the market. I like a 6-8 to 6-10 for skipping docks. M/H fast tip,,,yes.

Agreed. Some folks buy one because it says Loomis on the blank but it is not that great. If you cannot pop for at least the IMX Pro, you can get a better rod for the money than an E6X.

The E6X line was my entry into Loomis rods, but I soon graduated to IMX-Pro, GLX, and NRX 's for my bottom contact baits. Occasionally I do still use a couple E6X 843C MBR rods for horizontal/reaction/treble hook scenarios where sensitivity isn't the primary consideration.

Their 843 and 845 CBR's are one of the most underrated crankbait rods out there for the money.

Ken A and ezbassin,
What rod company and model would you recommend instead of E6X.
Thanks
