I've eaten tilapia from freshwater ponds and lakes in the Philippines,Hawaii and California..............all quite tasty and a totally different fish than that sewer water raised store bought krap from China.Wish my local lakes here in West Texas were stocked with them.

This article reminded me of a trip 40 plus years ago to a little Lake in Arizona, Lake Alamo, at end of a great day of Bass fishing, went back to our camp site and our
Neighbors invited us to eat, they had caught bunch of Big Blue Gills & they were experts, they skinned, headed, breaded in corn meal & fried them perfect. Awesome meal !
I have done this many times over the years, in many states and they were always delicious and are my choice for fish 😋
