We are needing to replace our old dishwasher and I’m trying to convince the wife that Bosch is he way to go. She has an LG picked out that is around $800 and the Bosch is $950. One thing I don’t like about the LG is it’s made overseas. Maytag and Whirlpool seem to get good reviews also and have made in the USA stickers on them. Any recommendations from you guys based on first hand experience?

I'd leave this solely to the wife... you don't take her feedback on what type of lawn mower to run do you?
Not only would I not die on this hill I wouldn't even fight on it. Let her get whichever one she wants

Absolutely get a Bosch. They are so quiet they have a red light shining into the floor to let you know it’s on.

I have an LG that I got several years ago, and it still works fine, its quiet running all you hear is the little tune it plays when you start it and the tune when it's done

We got a Bosch dishwasher once. It's super quiet but my wife said it takes too long to clean the dishes.

We have had a Bosch and now have a KitchenAid. They both were fine and both were quite. Cannot really tell much difference in performance or quietness. I look at dishwashers as about a 5-7 year expenditure. If you open them up and look at how they are built, it will surprise you that you get that long out of them.

Got an LG this year with the turbo doodad thingy that sold the wife on it. It washes pretty good. I can't even hear it running but can hear it draining in the garbage disposal. Thats the only noise I can hear on ours. I don't like the turbo wash on it that only takes 2.5 hours, but the heated wash/extra dry takes 3.2 hours and the dishes are super clean.

The Germans make great cars, tanks and U-boats, so I'm thinking they got the whole dishwasher thing figured out. However, if you get Bosch and for whatever reason the frau is not happy with it, you will be hearing about it for the rest of your marriage.

I'll never own another Bosch. They are good, but the company isn't. We had a dishwasher on order from them for over a year, they just kept pushing the order back. Finally got them to admit that they were not making that model and didn't know when that line would start back up. Cancelled that order and ordered a Kitchenaid Model #KDFE204KWH. Quieter than the Bosch, cleaner dishes, and it has a drying cycle that actually works.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I should have learned that by now lol. I think I’ll let her decide what she wants so I can live in peace.

Out of all the dishwashers that I've installed, I chose Bosch for the house. Best dishwasher I've ever had. Got it at Best Buy of all places on sale and was an actual good life decision for a change.
