Anyone in ftw metroplex assist with wiring on a ranger trailer. Can’t get brake lights or turn signals to work. Bought new led replacement. Checked connections want work. Frustrating as heck

Start at the truck fuse and work backwards. Check ground and hot wires all the way back. Could be as simple as a pinched wire, those are difficult to find. If all the wires are good then check the lights, one at a time. I’ve had a pinched license plate light cause a blown fuse after driving one hour. Took 8 hours over two weeks to find. Only found it because my buddy happened to feel the wire as being warm. Another time a had a LED running light have 3 of 6 lights working and once I changed it, it stopped blowing the fuse. Auto electricity is simple but frustrating to find a problem.
The only difference between a little girls scream and a warrior's battle cry is the direction your'e running!

make sure the lights are grounded.
check for power at light connection, if none go find fuses and newer trucks have more than one for trailers.

I had one of my brake/turn signel lights quit working. Checked all connections/fuse and wiring. Also changed out the light with the other side and found it worked fine. While under the trailer plugging it back in I noticed what I thought was a little bit of a rust spot on the zip tie they used to bundle the wires together to keep them from hanging down. Running out of options cut the zip tie to check the bundled wires. Sure enough there is where i found the bad wire. Wiring stuff on a boat can drive you crazy.

Thanks for responding. I’ll continue checking all options. Have done a lot of above recommendations to no avail. Any local shops work on lights
