This will be my 8th straight year exploring and fishing some absolutely beautiful areas of our great country. General game plan is to depart August 13th and fish my way up to the Flaming Gorge. I struck out there last year, yet had bad weather and high winds, I have more confidence and information this year. After 3 or 4 days camping out and fishing the gorge, I plan on heading north to the Pinedale area and the super deep glacial lakes, for kokes and lake trout. I plan on staying in the Pinedale area for about 6 days, then south to the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado. With 300 lakes at 10,000ft what is not to like. Probably stay and camp on the mesa for 6 or 7 days. Hope to hit the Gunnison river on south river road for a couple of days on the way out, then back home to Waller TX.
